Ich hatte mir Alex Millers "Journey to the Stone Country" letztes Jahr aus Australien mitgebracht, jetzt war Zeit, das Buch zu lesen.

Von der ersten Seite an nahm mich die Geschichte gefangen - die Protagonistin ist nicht viel älter als ich und arbeitet im akademischen Umfeld in Melbourne (was eine Station unserer Reise war). Auslöser ihrer Reise in den Nordosten, nach Townsville in Queensland, ist das Fremdgehen ihres Mannes (mit dem sie wohl nie über ihre Queensland-Kindheit geredet...
