In "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater, Grace's obsession with wolves gets taken to a whole new level when it turns out that her favourite wolf turns into a cute teenage boy over the summer.

I'm going to say what everyone of us is thinking: borderline bestiality. 17-year-old Grace lives next to the woods and her favourite animals are wolves. I mean, this girl REALLY likes wolves. They're all she talks about and she does everything to get their attention. I'm pretty sure no normal thinking...
