I don't know what I was expecting by requesting this ARC, but what I got totally surprised me. I was laughing from page one on. This author got my humour spot on. This is the kind of book I love, humor, quirky characters and still substantial.I was surprised to find out that Peyton is a girl. i was pretty sure it would be a friendship story between two boys, not unlike "Aristotles and Dante". First it didn't matter much, as the friendship is still beautifully build. Sadly, and I don't know why it is such a necessary, it involves into a romance. Totally needless! It isn't all too much bothering, but still, why can't friendship be enough? I loved the theme of neglect and pyromania as well as the portrait of grief. When Hanks Dad shared his thoughts about Hanks Comic I was tearing up. beautiful. A strong young adult book that I definitly gonna carry in my store and gush about to all my customers.
