Introducing my 10-year-old daughter to Harry Potter, volume two. After reading the first book with her over the Christmas holidays, it was now time for the „Chamber of Secrets“. My daughter reads in German, me in English. I have been looking forward to re-reading the „Chamber of Secrets“ because it was my favourite Harry Potter adventure for many years. I really like the mystery of Slytherin's heir, the attacks on the students and the mysterious voice only Harry hears. Adding lots of information and details about the wizarding world and you get a book that is unputdownable.
I adore the mix of cosiness, humour (Gilderoy Lockhart is priceless), mystery and fantasy. Reading Harry Potter is like coming home to a cup of hot chocolate and a fire blazing in the chimney. I'm looking forward to reading the next volume together with my daughter and I dare say, she's addicted now, too.
