After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate the planet while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded on Mars' surface, completely alone, with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive. The book is full of scientific stuff, and although I'm not a science geek at all I found it interesting nevertheless. Maybe because the writing is quite entertaining. It...
What can I say? I am a natural science student so just alone this fact means I had to read it. And than I saw the movie and loved it. And the book is even better. Everything happen in it , expect one thing, can happen. The science is real and not science fiction. Mark Whatney is also such a funny guy. Even in this hopeless situation he stays calm, even funny.
I can only recommend the book.
