Good Magic. Dark Magic. Fablehaven is bubbling with both. And then one boils over... Seth and Kendra are annoyed when they have to spend summer with their grandparents. But things aren't as bad as they feared. Their grandparents' house is filled with every thing a child could want. Granddad tells them that they can have the run of the house and of the amazing gardens, but they are not to go into the forest beyond the wall. The delight of the house and gardens begins to fade as something from the forest pulls at the children. Vague curiosity soon becomes a temptation. What is calling them, and what darkness will they unleash once they step out of the sunlit gardens?
