LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Literally one of the best fantasy novels I have ever read. Will definitely read it again and again!

Beginning long, otherwise great!

My opinion: It's a briliant story. The beginning ist just loooooong, but as soon as it started it won't stop again.
The Hobbits are just great, and it's nice meeting dwarves and elves and other folk again.
The language is a bit difficult at times, but you get used to it quickly.
The best things in this book are the maps. You never get lost in here! And the cover is really nice too.

Conclusion: This is classic fantasy and a must-read for everyone.

The Fellowship of the Ring - Lord of the Rings part 1

I like The Fellowship of the Ring, because J.R.R. Tolkien is able to bring me in another world, in a world of hobbits, dwarfs, elves as well human beings that it is so much to learn of this world that is grasping to read.

The fact that Frodo knows dwarfs before he meets Gimli at Elronds house, or that Merry and Pippin as well Sam know that he has to go on an adventure because of a mysterious ring is so much better than the movie.
