In this book, Beth Comstock describes her way of overcoming this reluctance and become one of the innovation leaders of our century. As former Vice Chair and General Marketing and Commercial Officer of General Electric, and President of Integrated Media at NBC, Beth Comstock was responsible to innovate the business of these companies, to be creative and lead the change process of transforming General Electric form a purely efficiency driven, perfectionist culture into one of innovation.
Apart from the interesting story of the cultural and tranformational change at General Electric and NBC, in this book Beth Comstock presents many specific tips and ideas how we all can become change leaders. She is very open in describing what worked well, and what didn't, and what she learned from both, successes and failures. She presents actionable insights, such as "How to be an Emergent Leader", or how to address changes.
I enjoyed reading this inspiring book. It is well written, to the point, and both entertaining and insightful. I recommend this book for everybody who wants to implement change and innovate how things are being done.
