This interesting book by Scottish author Miller Caldwell is widely based on true events.
It describes the adventurous story of a Scottish woman living in Germany in the 1930s. When her German husband suddenly dies and her son joins the German army preparing for a war, she decides to go back to Scotland to care for her elderly parents.
She becomes a reluctant spy and a double agent when a German Nazi leader contacts her to report about Scottish airfields and British agents also want information about their enemy's activities. She receives training from both sides but the assignments keep getting more dangerous. Eventually, she has to make her own decisions about her future. Will she be able to save herself and her family and friends?
The story is well written and also refers to real historic events. The cover and the title fit well.
Overall, an enjoyable read.
