Damianos, called Damen, of Akilos,crown Prince, is captured by his half brother Kastor after the death of their father King Theodmedes. He is sold as a pleasure slave in the neighbour country Vere, with which Akilos has a very labil peace. He is a present to the crown prince Laurent. Now Damen was to survive the court of Veres and keep his true identity a secret, bc Laurant hates nothing more than the royal family of Akilos and that with a reason.
What can I say..I loved the book! Not only because of the great, lyrical writing, the wonderful world building, the underlying sexual tension between the to main characters Laurant and Damen, who are btw so brillant characters, beautiful written and described, but also because all this fine, sneaky political works in the book. So many twists, totally unexpected.
Many negativ comentes are about the violence in the books.
