The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic is the first book of the Shopaholic-series by Sophie Kinsella.

The main character, Rebecca Bloomwood, cannot stop buying expensive cloths, shoes and beauty products. She is a journalist and finds her job as a financial adviser for the Successful Saving magazine boring. Unfortunately, her habit causes her to be unable to pay for her bills. Will she ever manage to get rid of her debts? She tries cutting back and making more money. And there are two men in her life. Her friend's rich cousin Tarquin and Luke, the owner of a PR company called Brandon Communications.

The novel is well-written and easy to read. It has about 300 pages and is very funny. For example, there are several letters from her bank and even from the Bank of Helsinki in Finnish.

The cover shows shopping bags, what else?, and the title is appropriate in my opinion. I really enjoyed reading this book.
