~The Book:
Luckily I´ve won (2015) this book at My Smut Huts Facebook page and received the eBook through the author (Thank you again).

The book is written from two different point of views- the views from both main characters of the book. One of them is Leila Mathews, a trauma nurse and the other is Brody Davis, a wealthy man who works (not only) in real estate.

The story:
Leila Mathews is at work when the patient she was supposed to help turned her world upside down. She´s worried and she´s scared but she doesn´t want anyone to see her break down. She wants to be strong in front of anyone else, even if she isn´t. For years she´s trying not to get too close to anyone, not to get hurt and now this situation, involving Leila's most important person in her life, threatens her walls to come down and to hurt her more than anything. Never would she have imagined to meet a stranger (a very handsome and sexy stranger), she´s instantly attracted to, in a situation like this. It turns out that this guy, called Brody Davis, is a friend of her brother and even though Brody has the reputation of being a womanizer and of hooking up with women all the time, Leila lets him distract and help her. Not long and they´ll find themselves in each other's arms and falling in love. But can they both overcome their issues and fears? Will they be able to continue a relationship, although they have no or barely experience in having one? And what is with Leila's brother and what is it about Jaxon, who looks like to be stalking Leila?

Well- I guess you have to find out yourself :D I´m not going spoil the story to you.

My Opinion (Spoiler):
I liked the story. I didn´t really loved it ( :( ) but it was good. I couldn´t fall in love with both main characters and I didn´t felt the chemistry between them. It got better with continuing the story and I hope that I finally love them with the next part of the series.

For me, the pace of this story was really fast. Within a week in that story, so much happened already for both. Like- Bam, bam, Bam, Bam. They go here, do that, do this. So for me it was a bit difficult to warm up with the characters. Also because I´d rather have read more about them spending time and speaking with each other than reading about the surroundings.

It could just be me but, although some lines had me grinning (especially those between brother and sister), conversations they had felt sometimes a bit unnatural. I´d rather have a change of her and him speaking than one speaking a lot of sentences at once.

Although I haven´t read much about nurses, I didn´t find the rest of the story quite original (sorry). Some things reminded me of Shades of Grey. It´s not identical of course but... I don´t know...I can´t really explain. It´s just like I´ve read sth. similar to it before (Not the whole book, just scenes). I also wished to have more drama in this story. Drews part was kind of unspectacular in my opinion, probably because of the pace. He was shot, then ok, he had a bleeding, he was ok, the end...

I loved reading about Ruger. Him wanting to protect Leila is so adorable. I love dogs and I honestly was really surprised when I read all those German words. I had no idea none-German people would use them. And now while writing this review I´ve been thinking and thinking, but I don´t remember a book right now in which I read about characters interacting with their pets. So that´s definitely a plus for this story.

As I´ve said the story got better with the ending. I´m curious about the next part. I love it when pregnancies and babies are in stories. I want to find out how they handle this new situation and if Jenifer goes all crazy and if Jaxon turns out to be a freak or nice guy. Guess some of my questions will be answered in part 2 :)

Thanks again to the author and My Smut Hut to giving this book away. :)
