The saddest story

This was such a sad story, the ending really brought tears to my eyes. Actually, my favorite character was the creature, which repeatedly reminded me of the tragic story of Frankenstein's creature.

Though the friendship between Toby and was a great thing cherished by both beings, the creature never tried to change anything about Toby, while Toby tended to put human attributes on the creature that couldn't work. I thought Toby expected way too much from the creature, as you can never really tame a wild animal. So while the creature tried, and tried hard, to please Toby it's true nature got in the way more than once.

At the end, I loathed Toby for what he decided to do, for such a relationship was doomed from the start and it was not the creature's fault it could never work out. Also, in comparison Toby's actions seemed mostly selfish, while the creature behaved like a dog wanting to please.

As I already said, I think this was the saddest horror story I've read so far, and I loved every part of it.
