Trip to Lapland

Esme Greenwood comes back together with her controlling and cheating ex-boyfriend after her grandmother surprisingly died. She then finds out that her grandma bought them a trip to Lapland as a Christmas gift. When her boyfriend doesn't want to join her, Esme decides to travel alone.
I was really excited about the Lapland setting and couldn't wait for the journey to start. Rovaniemi made a really nice setting, but to be honest I was hoping for a bit more wintery and Christmassy descriptions. It was nice enough to get an impression of Santa's city but there could have been more.
I did enjoy the story but it was also a bit slow at times and there wasn't much progress. At some parts I was hoping for a bit more action but with other part the slow progress was perfectly fine.
I liked Esme although I couldn't understand all of her decisions, especially about Warren who must be the biggest idiot walking on earth. Zach was also a nice character but remained a bit shallow for my liking, there was more potential in him.
The ending was pretty cute and as I enjoyed the story overall, I am looking forward to more books by the author.
