I haven't read the first part in this 'Holiday Romance Series', but the second about Sarah's sister Cat travelling through Europe. Sarah and her Greek sailing trip is mentioned there, and she recaps enough of the key points in this book so that you don't actually have to read 'One summer in Santorini'. Although it might let you become more familiar with the three main characters in this book.

I have to admit that I didn't feel really 'close' to Sarah, because her on-going indecisiveness - even after meeting both guys again - was getting on my nerves a bit. Also, the writing style was very very detailled. And I mean very. Sandy Barker mentions every little thing. The bottle of wine is not only put back in the fridge but in the door of the fridge. And when Sarah eats a muesli bar, Barker also mentions that Sarah crumples up the wrapping paper and tucks it back into her pocket, and then takes a swig of water. Every product she uses when putting on some make-up is mentioned, as well as every brand of wine they are drinking. And there is a lot of alcohol in this book, massive!

What I did enjoy were the 'tour guide' parts of the book. This time Sandy Barker takes us to Hawaii and New Zealand, and both destinations sound really wonderful.
