“I breathe to help him win—even if that means I won’t ever, ever feel his arms around me like this…He belongs to America now. He always has. I need to stop this before we get in too deep…to the point of no return.”

Mr. President is the first book in the White House Series. This Contemporary romance is a forbidden romance lovers delight full of passion and politics.

The gorgeous dark-haired and dark-eyed Matthew ‘Matt’ Hamilton has been the beautiful red-haired and blue-eyed Charlotte Wells’ crush since she first met him at her home along with his father, the President of the United States, when she was only eleven. While Matt was visiting, Charlotte, daughter of Senator Wells, even jokingly stated she would help the President’s son with his campaign if Matt ever ran for office. Flash forward over ten years later and Charlotte realizes her prediction may just be on its and his way to a presidency.

During the campaign, Matt and Charlotte start spending a lot of time together, they slowly becoming some sort of friends, but their friendship blossoms into something more, something forbidden, yet addictive for both of them. Both Matt and Charlotte know they can’t start a relationship if they want for Matt to win the presidential election, but what happens when they realize they can’t say away from each other and when the attraction becomes too much?

I loved the chemistry between her and Matt. I loved the way they were with each other. And as the plot line unfolded, as Matt brought Charlotte on the campaign trail, as their dynamic grew and blossomed, I became intoxicated. I loved that their relationship felt easy. I loved that it wasn't weighed down by over bearing, heavy handed, angst! I mean, yes, the angst was present throughout the book but it was just so well done that I felt like I could dance through it.

All in all, Mr. President was a fantastic, intriguing, sexy read I recommend if you want to read a forbidden political romance! Can’t wait to read the next installment because the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger.
