In "One last summer at Hideaway Bay" Lucy returns to her childhood home which she left for a successful job in London.
This book was a really nice read and I was really surprised by the storyline. I expected a lighthearted summery story but the story had lots of depth and is also making a very sad turn.
Lucy was a little bit difficult character. Generally the was a really nice woman but with her struggles I couldn't always connect with her. It got a lot better once she returned to Cornwall.
It was nice to follow her connecting with her old friends and how the place is healing her and making her feel a lot better about her life.
The setting in Cornwall was absolutely wonderful. It had a very summery atmosphere and the author described the place with lots of details which made me feel like it was there.
