I actually liked the story between Willa and Cade. But the word "age" came up even more often than the word panties (which many others have written in their reviews). It was extremely annoying. I don't like the age gap trope anyway.... but if it's done reasonably well, I can live with it. In this book, it was written over and over and over again. Also, Cade being made out to be a h0rny grandpa in his late 30s and Willa being made out to be a child in her mid 20s - weird and icky. Yes, the age difference is there and yes, it's not small, but mentioning it twice would have been enough. We get it.
I thought the relationship between Willa and Luke was very sweet and the whole thing was well done. But the last 150 pages were extremely drawn out. In general, nothing really exciting happened in this book.

The ending was really unnecessary. Suddenly the pregnancy trope comes up (and when I say I don't like the age gap, I HATE the pregnancy trope). Who doesn't know that vomiting can also make the pill ineffective? HELLO? The two of them are adults and neither of them thought of this? And after two months of knowing each other AND having an affair, it immediately goes to happy family... Didn't fit in with the rest of the story at all and compared to the first book (where this engagement was also suddenly a topic) it was also inconsistent. Only a mediocre book this time, what a shame! I really like the character of Willa!

Die Geschichte zwischen Willa und Cade hat mir eigentlich gut gefallen. Aber noch öfter als das Wort Panties (das haben viele andere in ihrer Rezension geschrieben) ist das Wort "Alter" gefallen. Es war so extrem nervig. Ich mag diesen Age Gap Trope ohnehin nicht... aber wenn es einigermaßen gut gemacht ist, kann ich damit leben. In diesem Buch wurde es immer und immer und immer wieder kommentiert. Außerdem wird Cade mit Ende 30 hingestellt als ein n0tg3iler Großvater und Willa mit Mitte 20 als wär sie ein Kind - sehr seltsam und icky. Ja, der Altersunterschied ist da und ja klein ist er auch nicht, aber zweimal erwähnen hätte vollkommen gereicht.
Ich fand die Beziehung zwischen Willa und Luke sehr süß und das ganze drum herum auch gut gelungen. Aber die letzten 150 Seiten haben sich extrem in die Länge gezogen. Allgemein ist in diesem Teil nicht wirklich etwas spannendes passiert..

Das Ende war dann wirklich unnötig. Auf einmal kommt der Schwangerschaft Trope (und wenn ich sage ich mag das Thema Age gap nicht, dann HASSE ich den Schwangerschaftstrope). Wer weiß bitte nicht, dass man durch Erbrechen auch die Pille unwirksam machen kann?? HALLO? Die beiden sind Erwachsen und keiner der beiden ist auf die Idee gekommen? Und nach zwei Monaten kennen UND Affäre wird es sofort zur happy family.. Hat gar nicht zum Rest der Geschichte gepasst und im Vergleich zum ersten Band (da war diese Verlobung auch auf einmal Thema) auch unstimmig. Diesmal nur ein mittelmäßiges Buch, schade! Ich mag den Charakter von Willa nämlich super gerne!
