I enjoyed the third book in the Breathless Series. Burn is the last book in the Breathless Trilogy by Maya Banks and in my opinion the best book of the series. Burn is sensual and erotically sexy without being over the top or hardcore.
I liked Ash and Josie's story. It wasn't very angsty, and they fell into a relationship easily. Of course, there is some conflict, but it doesn't season the entire relationship. Ash is 100% my favorite of the three men! I'm taking it a step further, I will say that this book is my favorite of the three as well.
I learned early on that I really had no idea who Ash really was. The Ash I thought I knew was not the real Ash. Getting inside his head made it much easier to understand him and I saw a different side of him that others, including Jace and Gabe, never saw. He actually is much more Alpha male than either of the two. He is very blunt, demanding, controlling, protective and incredibly romantic. I really loved both Ash and Josie, separately and together. I loved how Ash needed to always touch Josie and how Josie gave herself over to his demanding ways so easily. I loved how honest they were with one another and how they really did communicate immediately. They just worked together. There was no stupidity on either of their parts, no annoying fights or whining. Their relationship was the kind I wanted to keep reading about.
Burn is my favorite of the three and Ash McIntrye is the biggest reason why. This final book in the series did such a great job in tying things from the first two books in with this story and closing up loose ends.
