“It’s just complicated.” “No.” I shook my head. “It’s simple.” My mouth moved to hers, my voice a whisper. “Where you go, I go.”

Chaser is the third book in the Dive Bar series by Kylie Scott.

Eric is a partner in the ownership of the Dive Bar. He’s single and  he likes to mingle. He gets a lot of crap about it from everyone he knows and everyone he doesn’t know. He always has but lately it’s starting to bother him.

Jean is new to town. She is pregnant and preparing to be a single mom. She left her old life for a fresh new beginning.

This story is about finding love when you at least expect it. It’s finding your happiness, your soul, and it’s a story about being yourself even when everyone else may be against you.

I didn't feel the connection between Jean and Eric, though, I felt more of a connection or bond that he had with her daughter. I really enjoyed his interactions with the baby. Nell ragging on him the whole book got on my nerves, but even more so when she suddenly changed her mind and was all Team Eric.

What I liked about this book and why it's a 3 star rating and not lower. Single mother trope and reformed bad boy trope. I loved Kylie Scott's first two books of the series, but  I coudn't really connect with this one. I liked it at in the end, but didn’t quite love the journey getting there.
