Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect from this book before I started reading it. I am just glad that the story wasn't as shallow as the cover and blurb might suggest.

The beginning of the story was a bit weird to be honest and I already saw my fears coming true. I also had some difficulties with the mainly male perspective which we don't see that often. To me they lacked on the emotional side, at least in the beginning. To the end Dix's parts got more emotional as well. Madison's perspective touched me a whole lot more and were pretty intense.

First I couldn't feel the chemistry between Dix and Madison that much but throughout the book I could feel more and more with them. The second half was way more intense than the first and it even got me in tears to the end.
I loved how Dix was always on Madison's side and protected her from everything evil.

From what happened at the end of this book, I am really scared how everything will continue in the second book.
