It has been some hard work finishing this book. The thought of giving up on this book came up many times while reading.

The book wasn't all bad but it wasn't good either. Basically the only point I liked about this book was the genereal idea.

Now to my long list of what I didn't like:
- the writing style: I had big problems getting used to the writing style, to me it wasn't very smooth or even comfortable to read at all. I would even call it bad. I am not a native speaker but I found loads of grammatical errors. Grammar you learn in your first year of English.

- the time: I had the feeling the author couldn't decide about the setting of her story. She was switching between "normal world", apocalypse, post-apocalypse and even dystopia. Little details just didn't match.

- characters: I didn't care about any of the characters. To me they were all shallow with no progress at all.

The book had lots of dragging and boring parts and I never had the feeling there was any progress to a solution. I hated how the kids were treated in this book. No normal parent would act like this.

What I will remember about this book: plotholes, bad writing style and some weird hardly explained abilities
