I rarely say something about the cover but here I have to say that I absolutely in love with it. I love the colours, I love the little items on it and I like the font.
After the first few pages I thought I would really fall in love with this book. I have a very soft spot for books in the wedding business, as well as little shops or baking cakes.
But somehow the book couldn't hold my attention throughout the whole book. I found some bits very dragging and had the feeling there wasn't much progress in the story.
I did like the characters but they felt very distant to me and I couldn't build a connection with them. The sparks in the love story were missing to me too and I didn't like the constant on and off interest between Poppy and Rafe.
The book had some very nice moments though which made me generally like the story but unfortunately it didn't overwhelm me.
