First of all, I absolutely love the cover. The colours aren't only shouting spring but it captures the story in a wonderful way.

My highlight in this book is the wonderful atmosphere the author created with this little village, the farm and its warm-hearted people. I felt at home immediately.
In the beginning I had some difficulties connecting with Kitty but throughout the book she definetely grew on me and I started to really like her. Tom was a real sweetheart, as well as all the other characters.

The story itself was kind of predicatable but didn't lower my fun reading this story. There were still some nice and interesting twists I didn't expect in the beginning or from reading the blurb. I really liked how the past and present were connected here and how things turned out in the end.

The writing style of Christie Barlow is very catchy and she know how to create a homely atmosphere. I will definetely look for more of her books in the future.
