leicht verständliche, interessante Lektüre

So viel zum Inhalt, nun aber ein paar Kommentare auf deutsch von mir. Das Buch ist auch in Englisch gut zu lesen; die Sprache ist einfach und verständlich. Interessante Idee des Autors: der Ermittler in diesem Fall ist John Shakespeare, der Bruder von William Shakespeare, der gegen Ende des Buches auch kurz auftaucht (aber hier wird nicht verraten, wie er in die Geschichte verwickelt ist).
Meiner Meinung nach handelt es sich noch eher um einen historischen Roman als um einen Thriller. Im Anhang äußert sich der Autor noch zu den historischen Begebenheiten, so dass man nachlesen kann, was nun "erfunden" und was auf historischen Begebenheiten beruht.
Zwischendurch zog sich meiner Meinung nach der Roman ein wenig in die Länge. Insgesamt aber doch eine gute Lektüre.
