"Like souls find each other, you know. As corny as it sounds, I'm starting to believe we were brought together for a reason."

Drew Callahan finally needs to return home and see his father and step-mom for the Thanksgiving holidays. His childhood home is a place that he has not returned to for a few years. He has put it off long enough and he knows that he must come face to face with the place that holds many terrifying and horrific memories for him. Drew decides that he does not wish to go alone and ends up asking Fable to go with him and pretend to be his girlfriend. He knows that Fable could use the money so he makes her an offer she can not refuse.

I figured out part of the big twist pretty early on, but then there is something else that comes to light...

I can't quite comprehend how the author managed to fit so much into this short emotional read. Full of secrets and heartache this is so much more than just a story of love, more like a journey of two lost hearts.

The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger, but the note- M-A-R-S-H-M-A-L-L-O-W... gives me hope for a HEA in the 2nd book for these two!
