I was so happy when Shaun Bythell announced yet another diary of his bookseller life, so immediately I got in line for one of his signed hardcover copies.
It's the year 2016 in the Bookshop which is the largest 2nd hand bookshop in Scotland. For the third time after „Diary of a Bookseller“ and „Confessions of a Bookseller“ Shaun invites his readers into his daily life. Strange customers with their bizarre requests won't die out and are still part of his routine, as are the rides to people's personal libraries they seek to sell. And there is also a reunion with Nicky which I remember as funny and crazy employee from his first diary, granny, which was employed during the time of Shauns second diary and Sandy the tattoed pagan (google him, you'll love him!). But not only does the reader meet all those people again, it is time for the annual Book Festival, an event lasting ten days.

A year never goes by faster than in one of these diaries. It is such a delight to read Shaun Bythell's books. Some people find it boring to read about the daily routines of a bookseller but I enjoy every page. Even it's not yet that long that I finished this book, I long to get back to Shaun's Wigtown.

Please, Shaun, please, please, pleeeaaaase feed my curiousity some more and give us a fourth diary of your life!
