Unsatisfying ending

I have been looking forward to the final book of the Mara Dyer series because after a disappointing start I really enjoyed the second book.

Now after finishing it I am kind of disappointed again. It WAS a pageturner like the other books but I just couldn't connect with the storyline. Everything felt too confusing and just to filling pages. Several events didn't make sense at all for the overall plot and others just weren't explained enough. I also missed the thrill I felt while reading "The evolution of Mara Dyer".
The ending was kind of unsatisfying for me. I didn't feel like a real conclusion to me.

Overall this series was an average read for me, with an untypically good second part.
