"Is death the end . . . or only the beginning?"

There are books that you savor every page that you read and books that you simply couldn't wait to finish. Beautiful Redemption is a overstretched, boring journey and I coudn't wait to finish it.

The book is told from both Ethan's and Lena's perspectives. There are three "books" within this book; the first and third are told from Ethan's perspective, while the second is told from Lena's. The first two, around 150 pages each, bored me for about 75% each. The first 300 pages were incredibly boring and could be put in one chapter, easy. Ethan becomes a ghost, met his mom. He tries to get back to Lena, and a weird dude told him how. That's it.

Lena and Ethan claim to be in love but I actually never felt it throughout most of the series. The authors may want us to believe it but I never got the impression that they were that romantically connected to each other. Lena basically called the shots most of the time and frequently pushed him away. Ethan just followed after her like a loyal and sad little puppy.

It was an okay ending, even though I would've wanted a more final ending, or at least that they resolved all the issues, but I guess that they are leaving space open for the spin-offs.
My impression of the whole series: WAY TOO LONG and way too much going on. Each book could have easily been cut in half and told the story a lot better than what was actually published.
