The personalization of the word Grumpy is a man called Ove. But it's not his fault. It's clearly his fellow mens who are mostly to stupid to read simple signs. So it is his duty to collect all the bikes that are wrong parked and to report all the cars that overstay. 6 months after the death of his wife it's clear to Ove that life's got nothing left for him and that he wants to join his wife. The day he decides to do it a new family moves in next to his house. What Ove doesn't understand is how they can be so persistant in wanting to be friends with him... This book got me uttering a deeply HA! in every chapter. You find not just yourself in Ove. I was reminded of my mothers struggle in the Applestore, my grandmothers inability to clean the heater, my friends and I who also ignore some signs ;) I loved the second timeline explaining how Ove met his wife. You have to chuckle over Patrick and Parvaneh, especially their attemps in becoming Oves friends. A feel good book that leaves you crying the whole night. All this lovable caracters brighten your life. Feels like a bestseller!
