Caroline and Francis have weathered challenges in the past of their marriage. They invested a considerable effort in rebuilding the bonding, primarily for the well-being of their son. When presented with the opportunity for a house swap, Caroline eagerly embraces the chance to escape the familiar environment of her home for week. With a desire to rekindle the connection as a couple, she embarks on this getaway.

Arriving at their destination London, Chiswick, they encounter a house that exudes an unsettling atmosphere through its ominous emptiness. What kind of person does inhabit such space? As Caroline explores the rooms, she gradually discovers or rather uncovers subtle traces of life that bear a striking resemblance to hers! These far from innocent mundane elements trigger a specific response in Caroline. A hint of her past, she wants to leave behind.

The person with whom she has exchanged homes is someone Caroline had hoped to keep relegated to history.

Along with the protagonists, especially Caroline, the reader detects the story in an alternate way, change of times and narritives. This tale is kind of stay-up-all-night that fully lives up to the blend of domestic noir, pulsating tension and its clever twist. With believable characters the story unfolds with such intrigue.

"The House Swap" captivates from start to finish. Nice Storytelling!
