In the past I have enjoyed a few of Abby Clements books and so I was looking forward to the story about the heavenly ice cream shop.
I enjoyed that the story equally concentrated on the two sisters, Imogen and Anna, and we saw both perspectives. I also enjoyed the scenery and the ice cream business. I liked the two sisters, although I liked Anna a bit more than Imogen.
Unfortunately the story itself was pretty superficial. I never had the feeling that I could dive into the story and actually feel the emotions. Everything was just told from the surface and I missed the passion of the two sisters as well as the emotions in their relationship. There were several long leaps in time which felt like the story consisted of only some bits and pieces put together.
Still the story was enjoyable and the author's writing was fast-paced.
