For the past months, I have been focused on reading books in their native language. Especially when reading biographies I feel that the connection to the book and to the author is much more deeper. I didn’t know how his career had started. I knew pictures from him with his husband and sons and of course I knew songs of his from the radio, but that was all.
First of all I would like to say, that reading “ME” was so much fun. I really loved every chapter. But it was also informative, because as a girl growing up in the eighties the music business of sixties and the seventies was a miracle for me.
I laughed, I smiled, the words “OMG” were in my mind whenever I started reading a new chapter my emotions changed, depending on what was happening in this chapter. Sometimes I cried and that was my emotion when finishing the book.
You don’t have to love his music. But when you’re interested in biographies, this book is an unputdownable book that will never leave your house again.
