Spannender Krimi in Südfrankreich mit grausamen Mordfällen

Nach heftigen Regenfällen wird die Leiche eines kleinen Jungen gefunden, in Mädchenkleidung in Plastiksäcken verschnürt. Der Rechtsmediziner Leon Ritter stellt schwere Misshandlungen fest. Doch es bleibt nicht bei dem einen Leichenfund, in kurzer Abfolge werden weitere Morde verübt und Leon Ritter kann es, zum Leitwesen der Polizei, nicht lassen seine eigenen Nachforschungen anzustellen die ihn bis zu einem alten katholischen Internat führen.

Obwohl "Verhängnisvolles Lavandou" bereits der 7. Teil um den sympathischen Médecin Légiste und seiner Lebensgefährtin, die Capitaine Isabelle Morell ist, kann dieser Krimi ohne Vorwissen gelesen werden.

Der Autor schafft hier mit seinen Beschreibungen der Landschaften eine herrliches Urlaubsfeeling. Auch versteht er es vorbildlich, seine Charaktere beim Lesen lebendig werden zu lassen. Der Spannungsbogen wird durchweg hochgehalten und durch immer wieder neue Handlungsstränge wird der Plot nie langweilig. Das gewählte Thema der Story ist leider nur allzu präsent.

Mich hat ein bisschen gestört, dass der Autor seine Gendarmen zu naiv darstellt, deshalb von mir leider einen Stern Abzug.
