Imagine you will lose weight without changing anything. But not just 1 kilo per week, more to 5 kilo. This happen William “Bill” Halleck after he has been cursed by a Gypsy for killing his daughter in a car accident. Bill weight is more than 200 kilo when this happens and at the beginning he and his wife Heide are really happy about this. Soon it increases and they get scared, because at the beginning they don’t know it is a curse, they consider it could be cancer. Bill hopes it is cancer, because his guess is being cursed. His doctor cannot find any root cause for cancer.

No one except of Bill things it is a curse, also after two more are “affected” by a strange illness.

So Bill starts his search for the Gypsy to get off this curse.

Show down starts when he finds the Gypsy and he is asking for his Italian friend for help.

The end is really surprising different from what is happening during the story.

A truly Bachman/King novel.
