The Summer House in Santorini

I solely read this book because I was on vacation on a small Greek island (albeit Kos, not Santorini) at the time. For this purpose - reading it while letting the Greek sun warming your skin and having the soft lapping of the waves as background music - it was ok. But sadly not much more.

The story was in various places illogical (Why did the father never tried to contact his daughters directly, as soon as they were old enough, for instance?), the love story seemed to me rather forced...
