This book was absolutely fantastic and it showed me again why I love Jennifer L. Armentrout so much and why she is one of my favourite authors! I want to give this book 1 Million stars, but unfortunately only 5 are possible.
I adored the dark atmosphere in this book. You read this and you feel everything around you vanishing because you are sucked into this world and you have absolutely no chance of escaping the world and characters.
In the beginning you have to get familiar with the world and you might be a little confused as to what is going on, but no worries; you will understand soon enough and not knowing everything right away will make the surprise that much sweeter.
I think I don’t need to talk about Poppy and (especially) Hawke, right? You’ve probably heard those names a thousand times by now, but I can agree that the characters (especially Hawke - can you see I love Hawke?) are fantastic and
And well the story? Where do I even start? I don’t think I have any words to do this justice, but what I can say is that the last half of the book and especially the last 100 to 200 pages had my head spinning and my emotions went on a rollercoaster. And that last page? Well, I stared at the page, mouth open and completely dumbstruck, because wow did I not expect any of this.
Go get this book! Read it! And then let’s talk and be dumbstruck together.
