Alex Waters is the Captain of the Chicago Hawks NHL team. Violet Hall is the stepsister of Buck Butterson who is a rookie player on the team. The two meet at one of the Hawks away games when Alex slams into the plexiglass barrier that Violet’s seated behind. Once their eyes lock on to each other, they each feel a white-hot attraction.
Driven opens up with Rylee’s and Colton’s first encounter backstage at a fundraiser that she is organizing and he is attending. Before the night is over Rylee finds herself rescued, kissed, insulted, pursued, tempted, coerced and ultimately obligated to a date thanks to a donation paid for by Colton Donavan. Needless to say they are off to a bumpy start.
While the three previous books tell the story of Flynn and Natalie, this installment features another couple, Hayden and Addison ‘Addie’. Needless to say it can be read as a standalone. In spite of that for a better understanding of these characters’ backgrounds I recommend reading the previous books as well.
Stay with Me is the third novel in J. Lynn's series, Wait for You. It can be read as a stand alone. As a matter of fact, all of them can, but I prefer to read them all in order to learn about each character and to see if they will make an appearance in the next book.
Every Day by David Levithan is a unique, emotional, and thought-provoking book. It explores what it means to be genderless, without a body, and without a family, and that it is an evocative love story.
London Lane remembers her future the same way we remember our past. And while the average person doesn't 'remember' their future, London doesn't remember her past. Her memories are of the future, but the moment they become the past, they're forgotten.
This is the fourth book in this series and continues Gideon and Eva's story than began in Bared To You. Captivated by You proved to be an underwhelming reading experience for me.
Overruled is book one in Emma Chase’s Legal Briefs series. I loved that it was written in dual POV, because Emma Chase writes the male perspective perfectly. Stanton’s POV was flawless. And I loved Sofia’s as well.
In Her Wake is a novella from the Ten Tiny Breaths series. Even though it's a prequel about Trent, this is a novella that focuses on the Trent before the events of Ten Tiny Breaths so even though this book chronologically comes first, I highly recommend reading Ten Tiny Breaths before this one.
The novella follows Chloe and Bennett's story after they reconciled in Beautiful Bastard. In this novella we get to see the couple finally picking up the pieces and working on their relationship whilst giving their effort to the company they're working.
This little novella had me from page one. I enjoyed every single minute reading it. Never did I once skim through it.
Simple Perfection starts off where Twisted Perfection left off with Woods dealing with the death of his father and its aftermath. Della, while far from totally being healed from her night terrors, is coping with Woods by her side. Woods is now the sole owner of the Kerrington Club, one that his grandfather had always meant to be for him.
Entwined With You started off right where book #2 ended throwing us right back in the story.
If you liked Bared to You, there is no doubt that you are going to like Reflected In You. We rejoin Gideon and Eva right where we left them at the end of the first book and the story springs into life immediately.
After reading Four Letter Word I was sooooo excited to read Hit The Spot! In Four Letter Word we are introduced to Tori (Legs) and Jamie (Loser) and I instantly fell in love with them and their personalities! Usually when that happens I get high hopes for the next book and my expectations are too high. Well, let me tell you, J Daniels did NOT DISAPPOINT!
Holidays with the Walker Brothers was the fourth book in the Alluring Indulgence series by Nicole Edwards.
The book opens with Thanksgiving and moves the reader through the Holiday season with the Walker Family.
1 book, 7 brothers, 2 parents, 1 cousin, 4 significant others, 3 holidays. ALL FEATURED in no particular order, but the whole gang's here!
Chloe, is Bennett's personal assistant they have a weird relationship. They basically hate each other but when it comes to business they work like a well oiled machine. Until one day... Bennett snaps he's been hiding his lust for Chloe since he first me her, but when she reciprocates they attraction rises to dangerous heights and the sex is positively electric!
So much better than that Fifty Shades of Grey. I do get the comparison, but truly this is a MUCH better read. Simply put, this book had the polish that FSoG grossly lacked. (I read FSoG and hated it. I also found it disturbing and only gave it 1 star).
Come to me quietly is the story of Jared and Aleena and their journey of love conquering all.
Arise is the follow-up novel to Hereafter. Joshua and Amelia's story captured my heart in the first novel, it was a five star read for me. Hereafter proved to be one of my favorite ghost stories.
For those who have read The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials, you probably know that there were a lot of questions that needed to be addressed in this novel. The first two books in the series acted as an action-packed snowball that gathered unaddressed plot issues as it rolled down the hill of total exhilaration.
