On a dark, silvery moonlit night, Sophie is snatched from her bed by a giant. Luckily it is the Big Friendly Giant, the BFG, who only eats snozzcumbers and glugs frobscottle. Roald Dahls Bücher mit Quentin Blakes Illustrationen sind auf jeden Fall ein Gewinn - Sprachwitz, etwas moral, starke Kinderprotagonisten und einfach schöne Geschichten. So auch beim BFG (Big Friendly Giant). Ein Buch, dass die Aufmerksamkeit, die es jetzt durch die Verfilmung bekommt, sicher verdient hat - und da Lucy Dahl im Vorwort dieser Ausgabe beschreibt, dass ihr das Film Set gefallen hat, kann der Film so schlecht nicht sein.

Roald Dahl steht seit jeher bei mir für tolle fantastische Geschichten wie “Matilda” oder auch “Charlie und die Schokoladenfabrik”. Umso gespannter war ich natürlich auf BFG und ich bin froh, dass die Geschichte jetzt durch die Verfilmung auch die nötige Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, denn die hat sie in jedem Fall verdient. Roald Dahl ist es wieder gelungen, ein fantasievolles Kinderbuch zu schreiben,welches Kindern auf einfache und spielerische Weise wichtige Themen vermittelt. Es geht vor allem...
