I really wanted to like this book though I was very sceptical before starting this book. It all started out well and interesting. An apocalypitc world, a strong heroine on a mission. But here I am, done with this books and have no answers AT ALL. WHAT happened (besides destroyed houses)?? WHY did the angels come down? No background information, no explanation.
Instead of giving answers and developing a decent plot, the story get lost in unimportant details and repeating things again and again. Until the end (which is a ridiculous ending) there is almost no action in the plot, it's just dragging on and on.
The mother? Totally nuts (not meant in a good way)
I liked Penryn at the beginning but over the book I lost the connection with her. Seems like she is the only woman left on this planet who can actually save it. The rest of them has to prostitute themselves in glitter dresses to the angels.
Raffe -> boring and shallow.
The chemistry between Penryn and Raffe was almost not existent. I couldn't feel one sparkle between them.
That ending...oh please!!! I seriously have no words for this crap. It was so bad/ridiculous that I almost started laughing.
