Night is a chilling account of the Holocaust and the dehumanisation and brutalisation of the human spirit under extreme circumstances.
The Collar by Tara Sue Me is the sixth book of the Submissive Series.
Natalie is a wife of a Navy SEAL and is pregnant with her first baby. She loses her husband in Afghanistan and, while she is completely shattered and heartbroken, she has to continue living for her child. Her husband's best friend Liam steps up to help her deal with the loss and offers the support she needs.
Where the Road Takes Me is a story about two teenagers named Blake and Chloe.
Karou is not your average high school girl. Living in Prague, her family is not traditional. And neither is she. She is a girl that runs errands to an inhuman creature, Brimstone, who is the closest thing she has to family. She has blue hair and she is pretty much badass.
Unraveling You is an emotional, slow-building, friends to lovers YA story. Ayden is quiet, and bit broken. Lyric is a feisty and fun heroine. These two together are adorable, and extremely lovable, as they build a friendship that starts to turn into more. I really enjoyed Lyric and Ayden and I'm really looking forward to the continuation of their story.
This is the story of a Belgian interpreter who works in a big Japanese company in Japan. Extremely autobiographic, funny and surprising at the same time; a young Nothomb lost in the corporatist Japanese life at the beginning of the 90's.
The Enticement is book 5 in The Submissive series by Tara Sue Me.
I'm not sure how to rate this book -- I was going to give it a 2, but then the ending sucked, so it went down to a 1.
I knew within the first few pages that this wasn't going to be a great book. It was bad, and it just wasn't really attention grabbing. It was slow moving, long, kind of dark, sad and boring. Mostly, the story is depressing, with the odd dip into melodrama.
Julia and Gabriel have come a long way. They first met when Julia was seventeen years old. Eight years later, it’s safe to say that their road to a HEA wasn’t easy, and yet neither time nor circumstances and enemies could prevent them from falling in love with each other and being together now and forever.
Auburn and Owen met when she sees a “Help Wanted” sign and decides to apply. Owen is an artist who paints pictures based on anonymous confessions, he had a bad past and he has secrets. Auburn also had a bad past and every day she sacrifices herself to be close with the only good part that’s left of her past.
Julie is a florist – a modest job for a modest woman. She’s in business with her best friend, who also happens to be a submissive. And one day she meets Daniel, who is in her flower shop making a purchase with his grandmother. She feels an instant connection to him, an attraction she can’t deny. And that attraction is mutual. Neither of them can stop thinking of the other.
I'm finally caught up on Gillian Flynn's books, though I went at them in reverse order.
Gabriel’s Rapture picks up right were Gabriel Inferno leaves off. Gabriel and Julia are happy, in Italy and in love. When they return back to Toronto, there are things that come up that makes life much more difficult for the pair.
The story begins with The Professor, Professor Gabriel Emerson being Professor Ass to Miss Julianne Mitchell. He is charismatic, enigmatic, sexy and well, needless to say, gorgeous.
Beautiful Lies is my first Lisa Unger book. In Beautiful Lies, Ridley Jones unexpectedly finds her nice, normal life turned upsidedown when she heroically saves a little boy from being hit by a car on the streets of New York City. Everything she thought she knew about herself is suddenly called into question and she finds herself in a great deal of danger.
The Chalet is a quick and hot read full of submission and love! Abby and Nathaniel are finally getting married. The book focuses on Abby and Nathanial's wedding and honeymoon and the preparations that lead up to them.
Lucy Cunningham is a marketing executive in charge of the new campaign for The Palm Club, Miami's best fitness club. Her idea? Give an overweight and out of shape person one year of personal training and put them in front of the camera to document their transformation. With each pound lost, both Lucy and her trainer, Theo Redmond will receive $1,000!
The Training is the third book in Tara Sue Me's trilogy starting with The Submissive and continuing with The Dominant. This is the continuation of the story between Nathanial West, an experienced Dom and Abby King, a brand new submissive.
