Hopeless - Colleen Hoover

I LIVED THIS BOOK SOOO MUCH!

Hopeless was amazingly perfect. I loved it! I am sort of at a loss as to how to actually write a review for this book. If I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be POWERFUL.

Dark Wild Night - Christina Lauren

Dark Wild Night

The most perfect combination of sweet and sexy.

Dark Wild Night continues to follow the story of what happens after three friends go to Vegas and end up marrying three men they met while there. This time we follow Lola and Oliver.

GO GET IT!

A Million Guilty Pleasures, book 2 of 2. The conclusion to the Million Dollar Duet.

A Million Guilty Pleasures picks up right where the first book left off. Noah and Laine’s story continues as they are trying to define what they mean to each other and try to figure out how and if they can work in the real world.

The Road - Cormac McCarthy

The Road
von Cormac Mccarthy

"We carry the fire."

This is an extremely dark tale of a world passed through a proverbial dissolvent.

In a scorched and dangerous post-apocalyptic America, an unnamed father and son scavenge for food, look for shelter and try to avoid bandits and people who’ve resorted to cannibalism. The two, pushing along their rusty cart, travel the road simply because they must. The alternative is death.

Dirty Rowdy Thing - Christina Lauren

Dirty Rowdy Thing

I highly recommend this one!

Dirty Rowdy Thing is the story of Harlow and Finn.

Harlow is a strong, confident and loyal woman. She may be privileged but she's not spoiled. Harlow doesn't always have to understand her friends to love them. I liked that she was a fighter and had a bit of a vulnerability about her. She was also freaking funny.

A Million Dirty Secrets - C. L. Parker

A Million Dirty Secrets
von C. L. Parker

I recommend this series.

Published fanfiction. This is a fanfiction novel based on Twilight. I will be honest and say that I love Twilight and that I enjoy reading a fanfiction if it's well written. There isn't that much similarities with Twilight when it comes to the plot. I'd say that it's more a Edward and Bella with a Pretty Woman twist.

Love and Lists - Tara Sivec

Love and Lists

funny.

Gavin has been in love with his best friend, Charlotte for a long time now. They are close. They talk constantly, spend all their free time together. The problem? Charlotte has a boyfriend. And it’s not Gavin. Gavin only wants to be with Charlotte. To the point that if he can’t have her, he doesn’t want to be with anyone else.

Kill Your Friends - John Niven

Kill Your Friends
von John Niven

Awful.

This book is so awful, I couldn't even be bothered to finish it, which I usually don't do. Really, really horrible.

Sweet Filthy Boy - Christina Lauren

Sweet Filthy Boy
von Christina Lauren

Sweet, sexy and hilarious.

Mia Holland has just graduated from college. With her two best friends in tow, the trio decide to live it up in Las Vegas for one weekend of fun celebrating their college accomplishment. There she meets a sexy frenchman Ansel, and the two get married. Mia ends up following Ansel to France, where he returns to work and is hardly around.

Landline - Rainbow Rowell

Landline
von Rainbow Rowell

A heart-warming, engaging and intense story about family, love, regret and memory.

Landline is the story of Georgie, a sitcom television writer in L.A. on the verge of getting her own tv series to write, along with her best friend Seth. When Georgie tells her husband Neal that she can't join him and the family in Omaha for Christmas, he does the unexpected and leaves with their kids without her.

Ugly Love - Colleen Hoover

Second Chance Boyfriend: One Week Girlfriend Book 2 - Monica Murphy

Second Chance Boyfriend: One Week Girlfriend Book 2
von Monica Murphy

I wish,... I liked it more.

This picked up right where it left off from the first book, Drew and Fable finally realise that they both needed to make some changes in their lives and despite the hardships they face individually, they were there for each other as a couple.

I like that it is told from the point of view of each of the characters, it gives you different views of the story from their perspective.

Allegiant - Veronica Roth

Allegiant
von Veronica Roth

I feel disappointed. And betrayed.

I had my hopes set so high, and it just...I just feel really crushed right now. Veronica Roth is a cruel woman. I just don't understand how she thought this was a successful way of ending the series that defined her.

Room - Emma Donoghue

Room. Raum, englische Ausgabe
von Emma Donoghue

Emotional and compelling.

Room tells the story of a five-year-old boy and his mother who are imprisoned in a room for seven years. With obvious references to numerous infamous kidnapping cases, Room attempts to humanize the experiences of being a captive.

The Choice - Nicholas Sparks

The Choice
von Nicholas Sparks

I liked this book.

The Choice is about Travis, a small town vet, who has everything he could ever want out of life. He's got excellent friends, a cool dog, his own house and a great job. Sure, there's no steady girlfriend in the picture, but Travis is okay with that.

Brooklyn - Colm Toibin

Brooklyn
von Colm Toibin

Very quiet read about a young woman who leaves her home.

Set in the 1950's, in a time after the second world war, this relates the story of Eilis Lacey, a young Irish woman, who with the help of her older sister and a priest gets an opportunity to leave her small Irish town to seek a better life in America. In Brooklyn, New York, Eilis begins her new life as a resident in a boardinghouse owned by Mrs Kehoe.

More Than Enough - Jay McLean

4.5 Mayhem STARS

This series has been one of my all-time favourites and to think that it has now come to an end is heart-breaking.

More Than Enough revolves around two characters who are struggling with a battle of silence and numbness...
